Samantha Elizabeth
Board Member
Samantha Elizabeth arrived in Houston in 2008, the year Hurricane Ike made landfall. It was not the warmest welcome weather wise, but what she discovered in the months and years that followed was a city defined by resilience, generosity, and opportunity. Houston quickly revealed itself as a place where hard work is valued, industries are diverse, and community runs deep. Over time, it became home, the place where she deepened friendships and planted roots for her family.
Samantha has always been drawn to mission driven work and the power of community connection. She believes nonprofits serve as the heartbeat of a city, filling gaps, meeting people in their hardest moments, and creating spaces where stories can be shared without judgment. Whether through volunteering, board service, or professional collaboration, she is passionate about strengthening networks, building bridges across industries, and helping organizations grow in ways that are both sustainable and human centered.
Her connection to Missing Pieces Support Group is also deeply personal. While trying to grow her family, Samantha experienced pregnancy loss. The grief was quiet and complex, and at times isolating. It reshaped her understanding of motherhood, vulnerability, and the importance of having a safe place to land during life’s most fragile seasons.
Today, she is grateful to be the mom of one amazing child who keeps her grounded, laughing, and continually learning. That journey, through both loss and love, has strengthened her desire to stand beside other families navigating similar heartbreak and to ensure no one feels alone in their loss.
Professionally, Samantha brings more than two decades of experience spanning customer and employee experience, learning and development, program and project management, change strategy, and communications. She has worked across tech, education, insurance, oil and gas, staffing and recruiting, and healthcare, contributing to organizations of all shapes and sizes. Her work focuses on designing thoughtful systems that center people while driving measurable and meaningful results.
She is honored to serve as a Board Member for Missing Pieces Support Group and is committed to serving as a strategic leader, advocate, and ambassador for the community. Her heart for service is rooted in listening, learning, and creating safe spaces where people feel seen, supported, and valued.
Through her professional expertise and personal dedication, Samantha strives to help Missing Pieces grow sustainably, strengthen its community impact, and continue providing resources, connection, and hope to families across Texas and beyond.
