Paola Fornaris
Governance Advisor
Paola is a public health and legal professional passionate about building stronger, more equitable healthcare systems. Originally from Puerto Rico, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Management and Policy from Saint Louis University. She then returned home to pursue her Juris Doctor at Interamerican University School of Law, and later completed her Master’s in Health Care Management, once again at Saint Louis University.
Over the years, Paola has worked on a wide range of public health initiatives—both across Puerto Rico and with a top global consulting firm—focused on improving access, compliance, and outcomes in federally funded healthcare programs. She has supported efforts related to Medicaid, Medicare, and emergency response programs, including COVID-19, and brings experience in grant management, policy development, and cross-agency collaboration.
After moving to Houston with her daughter, Paola was drawn to the mission of Missing Pieces Support Group through the personal experiences of close family and friends who have faced the heartbreak of pregnancy loss. Seeing their journeys firsthand deepened her commitment to supporting families through compassionate, community-centered care. She hopes to use her background to help MPSG grow and continue spreading the message that families are never alone in their healing process.
