Host a Drive flyer

Here are steps to Host a Drive:

  • Promote
    • We provide a custom flyer to share with your community. We suggest:
      • circulating 1-4 weeks before your collection date begins
      • printing flyers, posting to social media platforms and adding to newsletter or sending an email
  • Collect
    • Pick your date(s) and time
      • Choose either a one day event or a range of days (i.e. 1-2 weeks or “for the month of _”)
      • Be specific in the collection times
    • Pick your location
      • Be clear with instructions of drop off point.
      • Use labeled tubs or carts to collect the items.
  • Assemble (optional)
    • Assembly of the boxes can take anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on volume collected and number of volunteers.
    • This can be done on the same day of collection (i.e. collect in the morning and assemble in the afternoon) or a separate date/time.
    • We will deliver the boxes and other care package items the week of your assembly event.

After your event, Missing Pieces will contact you to arrange a day/time to pick up your collection or boxes. We will share through our social media forums the impact your drive has had on our community.
