Mission Steward

At Missing Pieces Support Group, our Mission Stewards are passionate individuals who dedicate their time, skills, and energy to furthering our cause. These volunteers play a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission and serve grieving families.

As a Mission Steward, you will need to bring three key qualities:

  • Cognizant: A deep understanding of our mission, services, and the support we provide, enabling you to be a true ambassador for our cause.
  • Team Player: Collaborating effectively with fellow volunteers and leaders to help us achieve our goals and ensure the success of our programs.
  • Broadcaster: Sharing our mission with others, spreading awareness, and connecting with individuals and organizations who can support or benefit from our services.

Mission Stewards are committed, flexible, and driven by the impact they can make, helping to drive change and support for families experiencing pregnancy loss.

Marketing & Engagement Volunteer
Update sponsorship materials, track engagement metrics, and support content scheduling for MPSG’s digital platforms. This role supports MPSG’s marketing strategies by maintaining and measuring engagement.

Fundraising Volunteer
Assist with donor outreach, sponsorships, and fundraising activities tied to MPSG events. This role is central to supporting MPSG’s fundraising goals and efforts.

Event Logistics Volunteer
Provide on-site support for event logistics, including venue coordination, volunteer management, and ensuring event success. This role ensures smooth operations and a positive experience during events.

Program & Operations Volunteer
Help manage care package logistics, resource development, and track the impact of MPSG’s programs. This role assists with program support and helps track outcomes.

Ambassador

Our Ambassadors serve as key community liaisons, extending the impact of Missing Pieces Support Group by engaging with the broader public to promote grief awareness and support services. They are an extension of our Mission Stewards, taking on critical roles in outreach, education, and event facilitation.

As an Ambassador, you will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Community Outreach: Identify and build relationships with key community partners who align with our mission. Engage with local organizations, businesses, and individuals to secure funding, raise awareness, and promote events, including social gatherings and educational panels.
  • Grief Awareness & Education: Spread knowledge about the impact of grief, particularly pregnancy loss, and help facilitate connections between those in need and available support services.
  • Event Promotion & Facilitation: Actively promote hosted events to further educate the community, fostering understanding and connection among those impacted by pregnancy loss.

Ambassadors are passionate advocates, empowered to make a lasting impact on those affected by grief, while expanding the reach of Missing Pieces Support Group’s mission in their communities.

Community Outreach & Engagement Volunteer
Build relationships with local organizations, coordinate self-care socials and support panels, and represent MPSG at community events. This role focuses on outreach efforts and connecting MPSG to community resources.

Loss Support Facilitator

Our Loss Support Facilitators play an essential role in guiding and supporting individuals and families through the grieving process. Facilitators provide compassionate, safe spaces for those navigating the complexities of pregnancy loss, pregnancy after loss, or supporting others through their journey.

As a Loss Support Facilitator, you will demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Empathetic: Deeply sensitive to the experiences of our community members, offering reassurance and validating feelings at any stage of the grief journey.
  • Knowledgeable: Bringing both your personal experience and our tailored curriculum to guide registrants through healing techniques and provide understanding. (Training will be provided to familiarize you with our curriculum and group facilitation guidelines, ensuring you feel equipped to lead effectively.)
  • Professional: A licensed therapist, social worker, or grief professional with specialized experience in grief support. Previous experience working with individuals or groups in a loss-related context is a plus.

Loss Support Facilitators offer invaluable guidance, creating a safe environment for healing and personal growth, while empowering others to find strength and connection through their journey. With training and support, facilitators will have the tools to confidently lead groups and mentor individuals on their grief journey.
